Bianca McDonnell

Bianca McDonnell is a lawyer in Australia and is eligible for admission in New York. She specializes in international arbitration and public international law.

In April 2020 Bianca is joining White & Case’s International Arbitration Practice Group, as an Associate in the Madrid office. Since 2017 she has worked as an Associate at Armesto & Asociados, where she has acted as Assistant or Secretary to the Tribunal in investment arbitrations and complex commercial arbitration proceedings. She has acted as Assistant to the Tribunal in ICSID arbitrations against States such as the United Arab Emirates, Belgium, Romania, Greece and Hungary, and commercial arbitrations under the ICC rules involving State-owned entities from Colombia and Venezuela.

She has worked as an Expert Advisor with the CLDP for the last three years, originally training the Sri Lankan teams, and is now the Advisor for the Vis Moot teams in Afghanistan. She is a Co-Founder of MAD VYAP – Madrid Very Young Arbitration Practitioners. She has previously spent time at Three Crowns in Washington D.C., and the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY). 

Bianca graduated on the Dean’s Merit List and with Distinction from Georgetown Law’s LL.M. in International Legal Studies with a Certificate in International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution. She completed her Bachelor of Laws at the University of Technology, Sydney, graduating with First Class Honours.

Bianca speaks English, Spanish and French.
