Oral Advocacy Bootcamp
The following course is on the development of oral advocacy skills, in preparation for the 12th Annual Middle East Vis Pre-Moot Competition (March 10 – 12). The course is exclusive only to Vis team managers, coaches, and faculty, registered to participation in the Pre-Moot. Over the course of weekly virtual sessions, participants will be guided on how to manage their respective team’s development of oral arguments required for the pre-moot. Participants will learn tools that assist team members effectively structure oral arguments and address the pivotal issues posed by the Vis Moot Problem. This course was developed by Ms. Nadine Hafaitha for the Center for International Legal Education, University of Pittsburgh, and will be led by pre-selected Vis Moot Advisors.
Requisite Course Requirements:
- Participants will require their respective teams to read Chapter 7 of the CILE-CLDP Vis Moot Book
- Participants are required to prepare a draft argument outline ahead of class, and advisors will randomly select teams to screen share their drafts for the group.
- Participants must obtain a video submission of their respective teams argument for Claimant and Respondent NO LATER than February 17. Use the button below to upload your submission.
